Nekton is located adjacent to Research Triangle Park in Durham, NC.  The Company operates the complete R&D facilities necessary to shift from rapid proof-of-concept development to low-quantity production with ease.

Our Electronics capabilities encompass design, development, and prototype production supporting UUV and sensor development programs, including PCS and DSP design, test, measurement and field support equipment. Our Design and Fabrication Department includes machining and metal fabrication, welding, rapid prototyping and light assembly, elastomer molding and initial production, PCB design, simulation and assembly, and CAD. Our Software Development and Simulation Mathematical Modeling include 3D motion analysis, fluid dynamics analysis, GUI design, and ASIC design.

Nekton also maintains convenient Test and Demonstration facilities including a 3.5 ms-1 flow tank, several pressure tanks, UMAP (Underwater Multi-Agent Platform) for algorithm validation and other closed and open water facilities for frequent field validation.

Nekton’s facilities meet all applicable environmental regulations of Federal, North Carolina, and local governments.
